'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he once was, and would definitely contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich is Kane's top focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract discussions could begin in the coming future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring form continues to impress
